E-Journal is an internet-based journal management system that provides scholarly journal management system for University of Malaya. It is a peer-reviewed journal that serves as a medium for editors, authors and reviewers to share their knowledge, views, experiences and discoveries in their areas of interest and expertise. The entries may range from opinion and views of engineering, technology and social issues to deliberations on the progress and outcomes of academic research.
The general features envisioned are of the following nature:
| i. | able to support many content authors and editors distributed |
| ii. | have a decent workflow component which is able to adapt to new information flow requirement in publishing and managing online journals |

iii. | all the information is able to be reached by the search engine |

iv. | able to accept order online and perhaps payment via credit cards |
